Universal Testing Machines (UTM) · Hydraulic UTM
A hydraulic universal testing machine uses a hydraulic cylinder to apply high forces for tension, compression, bend and shear tests. It is the standard choice for TMT and steel bars, plates, wire ropes, fasteners and other high-strength specimens.
Our hydraulic UTMs include the digital UTE and servo controlled UTES series, the hydraulic-grip HGFL series, the six column U MAX for extra frame stability and the mechanical UTN.

| Product | Models | Highlight |
|---|---|---|
| Digital Universal Testing Machine | UTE, UTE TS, UTES, UTES TS | Variety of tests: tension, compression, transverse, bending etc. |
| Universal Testing Machine with Hydraulic Gripping | UTE HGFL, UTE HGFL TS, UTES HGFL, UTES HGFL TS | Hydraulic gripping with front loading for ease of use |
| Six Column Universal Testing Machine | U MAX, U MAX SERVO, U MAX SERVO TS | Four pillars and two lead screws for better stability |
| Mechanical Universal Testing Machine | UTN | Variety of tests: tension, compression and transverse |
Hydraulic front-loading grips (HGFL) clamp the specimen with consistent pressure, reduce slippage on ribbed bars and make specimen changes faster and safer than manual wedge grips.

Hydraulic UTMs are available from 100 kN up to 1000 kN and higher, depending on the model.
Yes. Universal testing machines perform tension, compression, transverse, bend and shear tests with the appropriate attachments.
A servo controlled UTM regulates the hydraulic valve automatically to hold a set loading rate or strain rate, as required by many tensile test standards.
